To support the State Health Departments in 11 states by provision of Protective Gear for Healthcare Workers involved in the fight against the second wave of COVID19 pandemic.
Johnson & Johnson collaborated with AMERICARES to support the frontline health workers engaged in fighting the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in 11 identified states viz Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Uttar Pradesh. The supplies were handed over to the state and public health departments of the respective states. Support provided to these 11 states included:
· 805,000 units of 3 Ply Masks
· 141,375 units of PPE Kits (comprising of Goggles, Face shield, Mask, Gloves, Coverall/gowns (with or without aprons), Head cover and Shoe cover)
· 70,000 units of N 95 Masks
· 16,000 units of Hand sanitizer.
This support benefitted more than 46,500 health care workers from the health facilities in the states supported.
