Jayashri leads Janssen India and South Asia, the Pharmaceutical Business for Johnson & Johnson (J&J). She is part of J&J India’s President’s Council and is the Executive Sponsor of the Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Council for J&J India.

Jayashri is a strong business leader with over 25 years of diverse and multi-segment (Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare Consulting and MedTech) experience in healthcare across India and Asia Pacific. She has worked in various roles ranging from Sales, Corporate Strategy, Management Consulting, M&A, Business Development, Insights & Analytics and, most recently, Commercial/Business Leadership. She brings solid hands-on learning experience and success in commercializing new innovative business ventures, from setting up hospitals, biotech parks to building alliances for portfolio development. Her extensive background includes navigating the complexities of healthcare delivery, developing effective go-to-market models, and successfully launching groundbreaking products and services.

At J&J, she has worked in MedTech (India and APAC) and the Pharmaceutical business (India).

Jayashri brings in a strong commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion and has held various roles in J&J to drive this effort – Women’s Leadership and Inclusion Employee Resource Group Sponsor (2021 and 2022); DEI Mentor in 2022 and has most recently taken over as the Executive Sponsor for DEI in addition to being a mentor for women professionals in several external organizations. She has successfully brought in a structured mentorship program for women leaders - Lighthouse at J&J India and also partnered externally to bring together like-minded organizations on a common platform to mentor and sponsor women talent.

Jayashri is an alumna of the Institute of Chemical Technology (previously known as UDCT), where she completed her Bachelor’s in Pharmaceutical Sciences, and is a Postgraduate in Management from S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai. She has also completed a Young Women’s Leadership Program from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (2012), an Executive Program in Value Measurement in Healthcare from Harvard Business School (2015) and several Leadership Development programs in J&J.

In her leisure time, Jayashri enjoys travel and artistic pursuits like painting, pen and ink sketches, and paper quilling.
